Monday, October 18, 2021, will be a 1:30 dismissal to allow teachers to plan and work with remote learners. The Board of Education will vote Monday night on whether or not we will continue Monday 1:30 dismissals to give our teachers time to help remote learners. #rowvastrong
Tuesday, October 19th, is Picture Day at ROWVA Junior/Senior High School.
Students received picture order forms today during Academic Support. If your student missed AS or has misplaced their order form, they may pick one up one in the office.
Orders are due with payment on October 19th.

Due to wet field conditions and a less than promising forecast, the FS football game for tonight vs United has been postponed until tomorrow at 6:00 PM in Oneida.
The JH girls basketball game at Costa for tomorrow, October 12, has been canceled. They do not have a team this year. The girls will practice from 6:15-7:45 PM in the elementary gym tomorrow instead.

Today, ROWVA CUSD 208 was notified that an individual in the district tested positive for COVID-19. Administration has completed the necessary steps for the KCHD to initiate contact tracing. Please remember that if a student has any symptoms at all, they need to stay home.
The freshman football game this Saturday at Knoxville has been canceled.

We've not yet reached the 100 person min. to use test-to-stay through Shield. Being a part of this program means a close contact can stay in school and test on days 1, 3, and 5. The percent of quarantined students in the high school is rising. This could be prevented in the future with test-to-stay.
A Message to the ROWVA Community:
Today, ROWVA 208 was notified that four individuals in the district tested positive for COVID-19. The ROWVA Administration Team has already completed the necessary steps for the Knox County Health Department to initiate contact tracing.
We are seeing an alarming trend in our area. If these numbers continue to climb, the district will need to adapt and look at other learning options. I cannot stress enough that if a student has any symptoms at all, they need to stay home. Together, we are #rowvastrong.
