The ROWVA School District will be out of school on January 26, 2021 due to inclement weather. The school district will not be utilizing a remote learning day for students. The district will be taking a snow day. I have had several inquiries about what a “Snow Day” looks like now in the world of remote learning. We have had enough taken from us this past year. I loved the first snow day as a kid and had great memories of being outside and taking in nature. As we educate through a pandemic, we must remember that kids need to be kids, and a snow day is the perfect reminder of that. This does not mean that we may not utilize remote learning days in the future for inclement weather. What it does mean, in this instance, is we want students to take a break and enjoy the opportunity to experience the magic of a snow day. #rowvastrong
As this school year continues to challenge us, Mother Nature has decided to remind us that she is still here ready to let the snow fly when necessary. With that being said, we will release today at 1:00. Our goal with an early release today is to get everyone home safely before the conditions for travel worsen. #rowvastrong

There will be a change in the lunch menu tomorrow. Gradeschool students will have a Turkey/Cheese lunch kit. Junior High/High School students will have a Ham/Cheese sandwich. The rest of the menu will remain the same: mandarin oranges, Shape Up, Harvest Cheddar Sunchips, chocolate grahams, Milk. Please pass this along. Thanks!

HS girls basketball will practice Friday at 3:30 in the high school gym!! Coach Weitekamp will be there and will pass out a schedule for further practices.
The first JH boys basketball practice will be Monday, 1/25 from 6:00-7:30 PM in the elementary gym. Contact Mr. Lydic for more info! Be sure to have a physical on file at school.

Any 7-8 girl that is interested in playing volleyball should report to the HS gym tomorrow during AP. With recent changes, we will begin JHVB practice this Friday! (In 2 days,yes)

According to the school calendar, which was made prior to the school year beginning , this Friday January 15th was originally scheduled to be an early dismissal day (12:45). This is no longer the case. Students will be dismissed at the normal 1:30 time.
We will be returning to in-person learning on January 11th unless you have already opted to be remote for 3rd quarter. Please read this announcement from Superintendent Sornberger. #rowvastrong

Dear ROWVA Elementary students: Miss Brittney, the staff, and teachers really want to see Mrs. Danner with RAINBOW HAIR so next week when we return to school for IN PERSON learning we will do a "take two" on Dress Up Week! On Monday wear your favorite winter PJs! Tuesday is Winter Sports day, Wednesday is Ugly Sweater day, Thursday is House color/dress like an ornament, and Friday is dress like a winter character! Bring those coins to school next week and let's fill the jar! We can't wait to see you all!
